Online Professional Development Courses for Educators
   
  Courses are four weeks in duration. The courses are instructor-facilitated only, with a minimum of required assignments. A final one-page course paper or report is required at the end of each course. Students can expect to spend approximately 8 to 10 hours per week on the coursework. This includes the online portion of the class plus some "offline" optional assignments.

Course Description: Participants will learn how to use Microsoft Office applications to enhance classroom instruction and student learning. Use Word, Excel, and PowerPoint multimedia presentations as instructional and student learning tools. Review examples of classroom presentations and a variety of instructional and productivity documents. Learn how to create a classroom presentation, instructional, or productivity document.

Course Description: Participants will review available instructional technologies and technology-enhanced units or lessons that integrate technology and address classroom management issues. Students will find, view, and evaluate lessons, software, and learn how to plan for use of the Internet and other resources to create student projects. They will also explore existing implementations of technology in education and the benefits of incorporating technology in the classroom.
