    Magellan University's experienced online instructors are current or former classroom teachers who have excelled in using technology to improve instruction. These instructors are carefully selected, trained, and evaluated by Magellan to provide the finest learning experience for the individuals who take our classes.

    Examples of Magellan's outstanding instructors:

    Amy Gutierrez has been a high school teacher and supervisor for the Department of Defense Schools in Japan and an educational technology consultant in the U.S. Ms. Gutierrez has a Masters degree from Central Michigan University.

    Deena Vela is an elementary teacher in California and has been a software consultant and college instructor. Ms. Vela has a Masters degree from Pepperdine University.

    Tracy Davis is an elementary school teacher in Washington and has a Masters degree from Gonzaga University. Ms. Davis has been a instructor for other nationally recognized teacher training programs such as the Intel Teach to the Future Program and the Bill & Melinda Gates Teacher Leadership Program.

    John Merrill has been both an elementary and middle school teacher in Maryland. Mr. Merrill has a Masters degree from Loyola College.

    Blesilda Ilano-Tenorio has taught Bilingual education in elementary school systems in the San Francisco Bay area since the early 1990's. She has extensive experience in teaching culturally diverse students as well as integrated curriculum in the classroom. Ms. Ilano-Tenoria has an Ed.D in International and Multicultural Education with an emphasis in Bicultural Identity and Bilingual Education. She is also a Title VII Fellowship Recipient.
